Way ahead
With us all feeling the impact of economic slowdown, rising fuel prices and the rate of inflation; strain can begin to show. Each of us benefits when we allow the hope of better times to come and change our gloomy outlook into one of trust and belief. People need hope in these difficult times, and hope comes best from those whose spiritual life is inspired by the confident knowledge that the only thing that truly lasts is the presence and guidance of the divine. St Paul puts it well when he says, in his letter to the Romans, that nothing can ever come between us and the love of God. In the midst of dark days, with our hearts focussed on a brighter future, let us strive to become true bringers of hope.
